Vaenvaara Männikkö FVOF FISHING RULES 2025 All fishing within the Männikkö allotment and in the Kalixälven part between Männikkö and Tärendö allotment and the eastern half of the Kalixälven at Vaenvaara up to the allotment boundary towards Saittarova is permitted as below. A fee must be paid for fishing within the area, and a fishing license must be carried while fishing and presented upon request. The holder must comply with the regulations applicable to this water. The association offers free fishing for young fishermen. Remember to always read and carefully follow the fishing regulations for the area. Specifically for children and young people: Free fishing for children and young people up to the age of 15. Only in the company of a guardian/adult/person who has a valid fishing license (on their quota). Guardian must have read and approved the applicable fishing rules and regulations. The regulations of the Swedish Board of Fisheries and the Swedish Marine and Water Management Agency apply. Fish caught at the "wrong time" and fish that do not meet the minimum/maximum length must be immediately released into the water, whether alive or dead. Fishing with otters and comparable gear and fishing with a trolling or casting line on which more than 3 hooks are attached is prohibited. In order to protect the juvenile stages of salmonid fish, fishing with natural baits (worms, maggots, shrimp, bait fishing and the like) is prohibited in flowing waters during the ice-free period. When fishing for salmon in flowing water, the maximum permitted hook size is 12 millimeters, if multiple hooks are used, the maximum size is 7.5 millimeters. Fishing with lead sinkers in rapids is prohibited. Mashing prohibited due to risk of spreading fish diseases. Fishing is prohibited in the streams. It is permitted to kill and keep a maximum of five grayling, 1 salmon and 1 trout per fisherman per day. Grayling - minimum length 35 cm. Trout - minimum length 30 cm and maximum length 45 cm. Salmon - minimum length 50 cm. Fishing ban periods: Salmon and trout September 1–December 31. Grayling April 15–May 31.
