Vittsjö nya FVOF A valid fishing license must always be carried when fishing in the waters of the fishery management area. Upon request, you must be able to show your fishing license and also be able to provide identification. Fishing may not be conducted for sale. The fishing license does not give you the right to fish with a jig, gillnet or net. A total ban on fishing with longlines also applies in FVOF waters. The fishing license does not give you the right to fish for crayfish. The fishing license is valid for angling, trolling, jigging, glinder, 20-hook longlines and 10 fishing lures in Vittsjö nya FVOF's waters. Our minimum dimensions are for Pikeperch 45cm (max 2 Pikeperch / day), Pike 40 cm and Eel 65 cm. Fish that are below the minimum size should be carefully released. (Wet your hands before handling the fish) All trout and carp should be released with the utmost care. The fishing license entitles you to fish with a maximum of 3 (three) rods. Fishing from beaches and piers is prohibited during the months of June, July and August. All fishing in Gåsadammen and Gässlingen is prohibited. The fishing license holder has the right to catch bait fish to a limited extent using small fishing nets and roach traps. The net may not be longer than 10 m and the mesh size may not exceed 15 mm. The net/roach hut must be marked with the cardholder's name. Rodent huts are only permitted from December 1st - March 31st. Caught fish may only be used as bait for your own fishing in Vittsjö nya FVOF's waters. The card entitles you to fishing with a maximum of 3 (three) rods. In the fishery conservation area, our minimum dimensions for pike-perch are 45 cm, (Max 2 pike-perch/day) pike 40 cm and eel 65 cm. Do not enter the embankment, private land and park in a way that does not obstruct traffic, etc. Do not block paths and loading ramps. Fishing is prohibited in Gåsadammen & Gässlingen. New rules: New rules for pike-perch fishing in Vittsjö Nya Fiskevårdsområde (FVO) will be introduced from 2026. Like many other lakes in Sweden, pike-perch is now protected during its spawning period, which is a wise and important measure to ensure a viable pike-perch population in the future. Grace period: May 1 – May 31 During this period, all fishing for pike-perch is prohibited. Any caught pike-perch must be immediately released. The purpose of the conservation period is to protect the pike-perch during spawning, when it is particularly vulnerable. We therefore urge all fishermen to respect the rules, so that together we can preserve a strong and sustainable pike-perch population to enjoy for the rest of the year.
