Glafsfjordens FVOF All fishing in running water is prohibited. Sport fishing in other waters may only be conducted by persons who have obtained a valid fishing license/fishing permit. The sport fishing license is issued by members of the public who do not have their own fishing rights. Children under 16 fish for free. Fishing licenses are personal and may not be transferred. A sport fishing license entitles you to fish with hand gear (fishing rod, casting rod, fly rod), slumber net and 20 fishing tackle, but not pike scissors. Trolling fishing is allowed with two pulls per card (maximum six pulls per boat). Trolling, which refers to fishing from a trolling boat with more casts than specified above, is permitted on open water. This requires a special trolling license. The minimum size for pike-perch, trout and salmon is 45 cm. Smaller fish must be released back into the water regardless of condition. Trout is protected during the period from September 1 to December 31. NOTE! During the pike-perch season (May 15 - June 30), ALL fishing for pike-perch is prohibited in the entire Glafsfjorden.
