Byskeälvens FVO (Västerbottensdelen) Welcome to Byske River. Here you'll find the most important rules for fishing the Byske river. Children & youths fish free of charge until the day they turn 18. Fishing license must also be carried for children and young people, free fishing licenses are obtained after registration in iFiske. The fishing permit is valid in all waters within the fishing area and with the same rules. Salmon and sea trout Fishing for Salmon is allowed until August 31. Until June 18 it is catch and release only, meaning all fishes caught, dead or alive, must be released back into the river. Between August 1 and August 31 you are only allowed to keep salmon within the length of 50-63 cm. All other catches of salmon must be released into the river with no exceptions. You are only allowed to keep sea trout within the length of 50-63 cm throughout the season. All other catches of sea trout must be released into the river with no exceptions. Minimum size for salmon and for sea trout is 50 centimeters. Bag limit: 1 salmon or sea trout/day and 5 salmons & 5 sea trouts/year. You are obliged to report your catch of trout and salmon exceeding the minimum size within 24 hours. When a salmon or a sea trout is killed, the angler is obliged to practice catch and release for the remaining day (until time 24:00). Landowners may hold other fishing rights. Grayling The bag limit for Grayling is 5 per day and angler, and the minimum size is 35 cm. Grayling is not allowed to catch during the period April 1st through May 31st. During June all fishing is forbidden from 06.00 - 18.00 between the blue bridge (the bridge in to the village) and the cable bridge of wood in Byske. In the same area, only single hooks are allowed for all fishing methods during June. All fishing is forbidden in the Byske River and the tributaries from September 1 until December 31. For landowners all fishing is forbidden in Byske River and the tributaries from September 1 until October 14. All fishing is forbidden in the area around the permanent fishing in Fällforsen on both sides of the river, all year round. This area extends 50 meters upstream of the water intake and 100 meters downstream of the discharge to the fixed fishing. More than 2 meters tippet length is not allowed. Foul hooked fish must be released. A really hooked fish must be crocheted inside the mouth. The hook must be in the mouth hooked inside and out. If the hook is seated on the outside of the mouth, the fish shall be regarded as foul hooked, and consequently must be released, dead or alive. We recommend always catch & release with hollowless hooks to facilitate the re-launch. Always try to minimize drilling time. The fish can be damaged during the fight due to overproduction of lactic acid in the muscles. Especially when the water temperature is a bit higher, over 16 degrees, it is difficult to release fish that has been drilled for a long time. It is always your responsibility to handle the fish with maximum respect. Catch and release recommendation : The basic rule is to always handle the fish as carefully as possible. Remember to moisten your hands. The fish have a layer that protects them against bacteria. If this layer is destroyed by improper handling, the fish can be exposed to infections. Never pull the fish on land! Unhook it in the water with a pliers/peang. If it is not possible to loosen the hook, cut the paw. Never lift the fish, which should be re-cast in the gels or in the tail with the head downwards. The health of the fish should always come first. Make sure the fish can "stand" by itself in the water before releasing it. Air exposure increases the strain on the fish. A quick picture is usually ok but never let it affect the health of the fish. A good photo, exact length and weight are of secondary importance. Apply rotational fishing. The fishing is conducted according to the "circulation principle", ie frequent changes of fishing place. When you start fishing, start upstream other anglers and fish downstream. Leave room for the next angler, so that everyone has the opportunity to start their fishing. Fishing from boat in the river is reserved only for the following: - Land owners and related parties. - Companion of a person entitled to fish from a boat may also fish from a boat. - People who live along the river within the fishing area. - Owners of cabins within the fishing area. The lakes In the lakes with seeded fish it is allowed to catch fish all year long. It is only allowed to fish with a rod at a time per fisherman, so it is forbidden to put out several rods. Fishing may only take place from land, except for ice fishing. No minimum dimensions are stipulated in the release lakes. Total catches of grayling, rainbow, trout and char, are kept no more than 3 fish / day and fishermen. The catch reporting requirement also applies to these lakes. You are obliged to report your catch. It is important that caught fish are reported, this also applies to re-exported fish. Therefore, reporting is required throughout the season within 24 hours of catching on trout and salmon that holds the minimum size. Suspension : Fishermen who repeatedly do not comply with current regulations can be suspended and fishing permits can be revoked. This also applies to those who violate discount and well-being rules. However, the suspension will last until the next yearly regular meeting. Longer shutdowns shall be decided by the yearly ordinary meeting. Byskeälvens Fiskevårdsområde Fiskerättsägare The following rules apply to Fishing Rights Owners (the person or persons who own the property), spouses and persons of equal status, as well as children and guest cards at home. Note! Every year a lot of garbage is thrown into nature. Fishing lines, plastic bags, beer cans and packaging remain for hundreds of years. They harm nature and the animals that live there. What should you do with the garbage? Throw it in a trash can or take it home. The guest card is part of the fishing right. The guest card applies with the same rights as the fishing right owner if the fishing right owner participates in the guest's fishing, i.e. only if the guest is within sight of the fishing right owner. Otherwise, the guest card only applies with the same rights and obligations as the fishing license purchaser (see PM for fishing license purchasers). The guest card may not be assigned or transferred for payment or included in a cottage rental. The guest card may not be assigned or transferred by the guest who uses it. A maximum withdrawal of 5 salmon and 5 trout per year and guest card applies to the guest cards. With the decision of the Annual General Meeting to introduce digital fishing licenses also for fishing rights holders, lending and activation of guest cards will be done via iFiske ( https://www.ifiske.se/ ). It is the person who holds the digital fishing rights certificate who can do this (due to technical limitations). The borrowed guest card will then become a digital fishing license issued to the person specified by the fishing rights holder. The lending can now be done as a 24-hour card or a maximum of one week at a time. Salmon and trout Salmon are permitted to be fished and killed during the period 1/1 – 14/9. Trout is permitted to be fished and killed during the period 1/1 – 14/9 and the period 1/11 – 31/12. Minimum size for salmon and trout 50 centimeters. During the period August 1 – September 14, it is recommended to only kill salmon measuring 50 - 63 centimeters. Only 1 salmon and 1 trout per angler per day is allowed. Once a salmon and a trout have been killed, catch & release fishing applies to the person who caught them for the remainder of the day, i.e. until 00:00:00. Catch limit of maximum 5 salmon and 5 trout per season. Grayling Catch limit of max 5 grayling per day and angler. Minimum size 35 centimeters. The closed season for grayling is from April 1st to May 31st. Fishing ban: In Byske during the month of June between 06:00 and 18:00 there is a total fishing ban between the blue iron bridge (the bridge into the village) and downstream to the wooden suspension bridge. During the month of June only single hooks are permitted for all fishing on this stretch. All fishing is prohibited in the area around the fixed fishery in Fällforsen on both sides of the river, year-round. This area extends 50 m upstream of the water intake and 100 m downstream of the water outlet to the fixed fishery. The length of the rod when spinning fly fishing must not exceed 2 meters. Mishooked fish must be released, interpretation of mishooking as below: A properly hooked fish should be hooked inside the mouth. The hook should be in the mouth hooked from the inside out. If the hook is on the outside of the mouth, the fish should be considered incorrectly hooked, and therefore must be released dead as alive. We recommend that when catching and releasing, always use barbless hooks to make it easier to release. Always try to minimize the time you are fishing. The fish can be injured during the fight due to the overproduction of lactic acid in the muscles. Sometimes you may lose a fish because you are catching it 'a little too hard', but it is even worse to try to release a fish that is only belly up. Especially when the water temperature is a little higher, it is difficult to release fish that have been fished for a long time. It is always your own responsibility to handle the fish with the utmost respect. When releasing : The basic rule is to always handle the fish as gently as possible. Remember to wet your hands before touching the fish. The fish have a mucus layer that protects them against bacteria. If this layer is destroyed through incorrect handling, the fish can be exposed to infections. Never pull the fish up onto land! Unhook it in the water with pliers/peang. If the hook cannot be removed, cut the claw. Never lift the fish that is to be released by the gills or tail with the head down. The health of the fish should always come first. Make sure the fish can "stand" on its own in the water before you let go of it. Air exposure increases the stress on the fish. A quick picture can usually be taken, but never let it be at the expense of the fish's health. A good photo, exact length and weight are of secondary importance. Apply rotational fishing . Fishing is conducted according to the "circulation principle", that is, frequent changes of fishing location. When starting fishing, you start upstream of another fisherman and fish your way downstream. Leave space for the next fisherman, so that everyone has the opportunity to start fishing. Fishing from a boat in the river is reserved only for: - Local population along the river who live within the fishery conservation area. - Owners of cottages within the boundaries of the fisheries conservation area. - Holders of fishing rights certificates and annual fishing permits (not seasonal permits, former annual permits). - Accompanying persons who have the right to fish from a boat are also allowed to fish from a boat. The implantation lakes In lakes with exposed fish, it is permitted to catch fish all year round. It is only allowed to fish with one rod at a time per fisherman, thus it is prohibited to set out multiple rods. Fishing may only be done from land, the exception is ice fishing. No minimum dimensions are stipulated in the implantation lakes. In total, a maximum of 3 fish/day and angler may be kept of the fish species grayling, rainbow trout, trout and char. The catch reporting requirement also applies to the implantation lakes. Report caught fish! It is important in the context of complete catch statistics that caught fish are reported, this also applies to released fish. Therefore, the reporting obligation applies throughout the season within 24 hours of the catch of trout and salmon that meet the minimum size, as well as for catches in the implantation lakes. Catch reporting must be done via the fisheries management area's catch reporting on iFiske ( https://www.ifiske.se/ ). Inspection fees Anyone who fishes in violation of the prohibitions or conditions that apply in the Byskeälven fishing area will be required to pay a control fee. Poniżej Arvidsjaursjön ważniejszymi dopływami, licząc z biegiem rzeki, są Kelisån (z dużymi jeziorami Pjesker i Gråträsket), Bäverån, Långträskån, Ålsån i Tvärån.
