For all fishing licenses, children up to the age of 15 may fish for free in the company of a guardian, who of course must have a valid fishing license. Fishing season Fishing times and fishing ban times April 1 - April 30 fishing ban in Sävarån between the E4 bridge and Ytterträsk. The intention of this ban is that there should always be a fishing premiere on May 1 of the river. 15 September - 31 October fishing ban in Sävarån between the E4 bridge and Ytterträsk to protect salmon and trout spawning. On other stretches, fishing is permitted all year round, for example from the E4 bridge and downstream to Skeppsvik. However, species-specific rules apply as usual in these areas. Fishing ban at Krokbäcksfallet At Krokbäcksfallet, fishing is prohibited 100 m downstream and 100 m upstream of the fall. See marking in the digital map. Catch Limits Trout: Window size 50-70 cm. Window size means that you can kill a trout that is between 50-70 cm. Trout smaller than 50 cm or larger than 70 cm must be returned to the water with the greatest care. Maximum one trout per fisherman per day. All other trout must be released unconditionally. Fishing for trout is prohibited between September 15 and October 31 following new regulations from the Norwegian Sea and Water Authority. Salmon: No kill - any salmon caught must be unconditionally returned to the water with the utmost caution. Fishing for salmon is prohibited between 15 September and 31 December. Grayling: Minimum size 35 cm. Max 3 fish per fishing per day. Harren is protected from April 15 to May 31. Pike: On the stretch between the E4 bridge and Skeppsvik (the entire area), the maximum size for pike of 80 cm applies. In other words, you can catch and keep pike that are 0-79 cm. Pike that are 80 cm or larger must be returned to the water. lake: Max 5 fish per fishing per day. Sikhism: Sea fishing is permitted on payment of a fishing license 31 Oct - 20 Nov. You may keep a maximum of 5 whitefish per fisherman per day. Other species: For other species, you may catch and use a maximum of 3 individuals per species per day. Other rules Fishing ban tributaries Fishing is prohibited in the entire Malbäcken, Klappmarksbäcken, Gärdsjöbäcken and Brännbäcken. The streams are nurseries for fry of both trout and salmon. Ship cove For those who only want to fish in Skeppsvik, there is a special fishing license. The card is valid from Skeppsvik up to the E4 bridge in Sävarån. With the usual fishing licences, you can fish in the entire Sävarån Fvo including Skeppsvik.
