Minimum size for salmon is 45 cm, maximum size is 90 cm. All fish below or above these sizes must be released immediately and carefully. Only one salmon per angler per day is allowed to be caught. Salmon is protected between October 1st and March 31st. We recommend that pike over 1 meter be released as gently as possible. In Sundsjön, Staborgsund, Bräckaviken, and Storån, the speed limit for motorboats is a maximum of 5 knots. The fishing permit entitles fishing in Lygnern, the lower part of Storån up to in front of Sätila wastewater treatment plant, Stora and Lilla Svansjön, Staborgsund, and Sundsjön. In Sundsjön, fishing from the road bridge at Ålgårda and downstream of this bridge is not allowed. Permitted fishing methods: spin fishing and fly fishing rods, bait fishing, ice fishing, trolling, and angling with a maximum of 15 fishing lines per permit. Youth under the age of 15 can fish for free under the same conditions as those with a fishing permit. Fishermen are required to show their fishing permit and identification upon request by a fishing permit inspector or fishing rights holder.
