Varnum Marsjöarnas FVO Children up to 16 years old fish for free. Fishing is only permitted with hand gear: casting rod, ice stick and fishing rod. Paravanes are not permitted! Live donors are not allowed. We advise against fishing at water temperatures above 18 degrees. NOTE: Fishing is only allowed in the area's lakes (not in the rivers). NOTE: Fishing is prohibited between April 1st and May 31st, starting in 2022 and until further notice. This is because the fish must be protected during their spawning period. Boats are available for rent, call 0709-459698 (at the Kyrkarp farm by Varnum church). Return pikes over 75 cm and perch over 30 cm. The minimum size for trout is 40 cm, trout fishing is prohibited during spawning season (autumn). No fishing with motorized boats (electric only), the watercourse is part of the Viskan water protection area and has a rich birdlife. Tip: At the outlet of Lake Västra Marsjön in Viskan there is a rest area table. There are also rest area tables at the fishing pier at Stora Kleven. There are also picnic tables at Östra Marsjön's public swimming area in Rångedala (do not litter in nature, do not grill if there is a fire hazard). NOTE - Violations of fishing regulations are handled by legal authorities. The area is monitored by fisheries inspectors and landowners.
