Långsele-Höglands FVO General Rules The angler is responsible for reading and understanding all regulations. The fishing permit must be presented upon request. Only one permit and one active fishing rod per person and per day. Children and youths under 16 may fish for free when accompanied by an adult/guardian who holds a valid fishing permit (fishing on the adult’s quota). Limitation: Catch of grayling and trout is limited to 3 fish per day and per permit. Minimum size: For grayling and trout, the minimum size is 35 cm. Fishing method: Fishing may only be carried out using one hand‑held fishing rod. Fly‑fishing section: The fly‑fishing area starts at the Gitsån outlet into Långseleån and continues downstream to the western entrance of the Nature Camping area. Within this section: Only fly fishing with barbless hooks is permitted. All fish must be released, without exception. This rule also applies to injured or damaged fish. Långsele-Höglands FVO ortskort Basic rules The fisherman is obliged to be aware of and follow all applicable rules. A valid fishing license must be presented upon request. Only one card and one fishing rod per person per day. Children and young people under 16 years of age fish for free when accompanied by an adult/guardian/person with a valid fishing license (on their quota). Restriction: Catching grayling and trout is limited to 3 fish per day and card. Minimum size: For grayling and trout, the minimum size is 35 cm. Gear: Fishing is done with a rod from hand. Fly fishing route: Starts at the Gitsån outlet to Långseleån down to the beginning of the Nature Campsite, the western entrance to the campsite. Fishing must be conducted barbless and all fish must be released, regardless of the fish's condition. Fishing rights holder: has the right to fish with five nets and three baits in calmer water/streams Fishing ban in force: April 15 - May 31 due to grayling. September 15 - October 15 due to trout spawning. Långsele-Höglands FVO (Båthyra) Rowing boat is available for rent for fishing in Långseleån. Battery for boat engine is available from Göran Skoglund, 073 - 073 91 77. Old workshop at the beginning of Högland. Most of the time available but in the worst case, you have to settle with just the oars. Bring your own life jacket, none available to borrow.
