Värsjö FVO The lake Värsjön has a unique biology and is therefore one of the County Administrative Board designated Nature Conservation Area. Fishing and the use of boats /floating devices and gear is therefore carefully regulated by law and according to the VFVO association's rules, in order to avoid contamination. A single drop of water from another lake can be enough to cause severe damage! 1. Cleaning requirements for gear. All fishing gear and other objects used in other lakes and waterways must be disinfected. Either by washing with pure alcohol (ethanol, t-red) or by drying in the sun for at least a day or long-term storage (at least 1 month). Make sure that no plant parts remain on the gear, even after drying. 2. Ban on own boats. Boats, canoes, kayaks and other vessels may not be put into the lake. Boats can be rented from the association through iFiske. 3. Ban on the import of animals and plants. It is prohibited to move in bait fish, fish, crayfish or other aquatic animals and plants. 4. Ban on so-called live transducers, i.e. echo sounders with real-time display of fish or bait 5.Ban on own anchors and outboard motors, including electric motors. These may not be mounted on rental boats. The reason is to reduce the risk of spreading invasive species and infections. 6. The fishing license is only valid for fishing with hand gear. Spinning/fly/ice fishing and angling are allowed. 7. Free fishing for children up to and including 12 years. Violations of fishing and safety regulations may result in a control fee of 500 SEK, a police report, confiscated fishing gear and a ban on the purchase of future fishing licenses. A booking does not refer to a specific boat, but you may take the one that is available on site. See map for boat locations. The boats may need to be emptied of water if it has rained. Bring your own bucket/buckets and, if necessary, an anchor (these may be available but are unfortunately often stolen). The boats are used at your own risk and must be driven in a sea-safe manner. Life jackets are strongly recommended. There are many shallow and rocky areas in the lake, be careful. After the fishing trip, tie up the boat properly and take any debris home. Rinse it inside. The boats are rented out at a low price as a pure service, so thank you for taking care of them. Mismanaged boats can lead to a warning and rental suspension for the person who is careless. If there is something wrong with the boats, let us know as soon as you can (call Bernt on 070-6888288 between 07:00 and 22:00). The boats are moored at our floating pier and must be returned to the same place. Follow the sign "rental boats" from Vittsjövägen, see the map.
