Tärna FVOF It is every fisherman's responsibility to inform themselves about current regulations and limits. Fishing permits are personal and may not be transferred. All sport fishing licenses are valid for fishing with a handheld rod, not a pole or otter. Children under 16 years of age fish in the company of the cardholder on their fishing license. A fishing permit must be carried and presented to a fishing inspector upon request. Annual sport fishing passes are valid for the calendar year. Stream fishing is NOT included in the sport fishing pass and requires a separate stream fishing pass. Net fishing ban applies in Jokksjaurebleriken, Umeälven/Tärnaån and the Umeälven downstream of Portbron to the outlets in Västansjön and Lill-Laisan. Nets and other deployed fishing gear must be well marked with the owner's name and telephone number. Nets may not be placed closer than 300 m from the inlets and outlets of the lakes. Fishing gear that lacks markings can be seized and returned to the board. Stream fishing in the Tärnaån and Umeälven rivers requires a special stream fishing license: A mask ban applies here.
