Jonseredsvattnet Säveåns laxfiske Fishing season Fishing is allowed April 1 - September 30 Säveån's different fishing licenses: Jonseredsvattnet is the name of the stretch in Jonsered from the footbridge towards the local train station and down to Kåbäcken. Fishing is permitted here from 1 April to 30 September. Information about card prices, fishing rules, etc. can be found in our info folder about Jonseredsvattnet. Sävedalsvattnet is the stretch in Partille from Kåbäcken down to Gamlestadsbron. Fishing is permitted from April 1st to September 30th. Information about card prices, fishing rules, etc. can be found in our info folder about Sävedalsvattnet. From Gamlestadsbron down to Partihallarna the Yellow Card applies. Fishing for salmon and trout is permitted here from 1 April to 30 September. From Hedefors up to Floda it is possible to fish for trout at Säveån trout fishing . Fishing permitted 15 May - 31 August. Methods Fishing is only permitted with a spinning or fly rod. Angling is not permitted. Only artificial baits may be used. Only single hooks may be used. Fishing with double/triple hooks is prohibited. Barbless hooks are recommended for easier unhooking. On the fly fishing routes, fishing may only be done with traditional fly fishing equipment. Hooking is prohibited. Jerk fishing or other fishing that aims to hook the fish externally is prohibited. Mishooked fish (that are hooked on the outside of the mouth or body) must be released. Mobile fishing is applied, i.e. one cast and one step downstream. The fishing pier downstream of Dicksons nedre (see map) is adapted for people with disabilities and they have priority access to the fishing spot. The pier is accessible by wheelchair via the walkway from the commuter train parking lot at Jonsered station and the parking lot at Jonsered factories. Fishing from a boat or bridge is prohibited. Catch restrictions A maximum of one wild salmon up to 70 cm may be retained – after that, fishing will end for the season. A maximum of two salmon may be caught and released to C/R. After that, fishing must end for the day. Maximum number of salmon C/R 4, after which you can end your fishing for the season. Spawned salmon must be released and spawning colored salmon should be released. Salmon and trout under 45 cm must be released. Female salmon should always be released. Salmon with adipose fins trimmed may not be released but must be retained. It does not count towards the seasonal quota. Supplement September 1- September 30 Female salmon and trout are protected during the month of September. Show consideration Cultivated land, plots of land, or other fenced areas may not be entered. When crossing pastures, special fence crossings or gates must be used. The area around the Säveån River is sensitive to disturbances of various kinds. Therefore, please act with discretion. The area between Aspen and Kåhögsbron, “Jonsereds strömmar”, is a nature reserve (green line on the map). This applies Anyone who violates the fishing rules will be rejected and may be banned from fishing for the rest of the season. Fishermen are required to show their fishing license, identification, gear, bags and catch upon request. Please note that fishing regulations may change during the current season. NOTE: Anglers can introduce temporary fishing stops on the stretches if the water temperature exceeds 19 degrees! Fishing license Please note that a maximum of 10 senior day passes and 2 junior day passes are sold each day during the season. There is also a limited number of season passes that can be applied for at Sportfiskarna Region Väst [email protected]. The fishing pass must be filled out with your name and carried visibly. It may not be transferred. The Yellow Card is not valid in Sävedalsvattnet. Reporting Information about caught fish must be reported to iFiske as soon as possible, emailed to [email protected], or written down on the report list at Kvarnhöljan, Kåhögsbron (R on the map).
