Bollnäs Fiskevårdsförening Fishing rules in the area of Bollnäs fiskevårdsförening (Bollnäs FVF) Since 2015 breaking the fishing rules in the area of Bollnäs FVF will be charged and reported the police. The following rules can be changed from one year to another and its every fisherman’s responsibility to be updated with the current rules. If you are younger than 16 years old the fishing is free in our area. Despite the following rules we have recommendations that says: Be respectful to the waters and environment in our area. Don’t pick up more fish than you actually will have use for. Pick up your trash and only make up fires on the prepared fireplaces. Lakes Zander – maximum 3 fish per day and license. Maximum 70cm (every zander over 70cm has to be released). Pike – maximum 3 fish per day and license. Maximum 80cm (every pike over 80cm has to be released). Trout – maximum 1 fish per day and license. Minimum 35cm, maximum 55cm. (every trout smaller than 35cm and bigger than 55cm has to be released) Grayling – All grayling caught in our lakes has to be released. Fishing is free in Vågen and Björktjäratjärn. The fishing rules in those waters are the same as in the other lakes in our area. Rivers Galvån Our part of Galvån stretches from Ljusnan river to Nyfors. Up streams Nyfors is managed by Arbrå FVF (www.arbrafvf.se). Fishing is allowed 1/6-15/9. Only tackle fishing and fly fishing with barbless single hooks is allowed. Trout - All trout and graylings has to be released. Pikes - Maximum 3 pikes per day and license, maximum 80cm (all pikes over 80cm has to be released). Bollnäsströmmarna Fishing is allowed 15/5-15/9. Only tackle fishing and fly fishing with barbless single hooks is allowed. Trout and grayling - All trout and graylings has to be released. Pike - Maximum 3 pikes per day and license, maximum 80cm (all pikes over 80cm has to be released). All the other rivers All rivers despite Galvån and Bollnäsströmmarna is open for fishing 1/1-15/9. Put and take waters Lapptjärn and Västra Hundtjärn (rainbow trout) Maximum 3 fish per day and license. Fishing forbidden Fishing is forbidden in the following waters: - Vågån, Myrbäcken. - Fishing is forbidden 25m up streams and 50m down streams every hydro power station in our area, due to the safety requirements from the power company. Fishing with net and long line is forbidden in our area. It’s forbidden to sell the fish you caught our area.
