Föredadammen i Föreda FVO Fishing is free for children under 16 years of age. However, for these children their fishing has to be accompanied by grow ups. Anglin methods that are allowed: only handheld rods, like spin-, and fly-fishing rods. No living bait are allowed, only fabricated like fishing flies or plugs, spoons or jerk baits etc. We do prefer C&R. Coarse angling is allowed if permitted after contact with the Riverkeeper. Season: from the second Saturday in May, until 31/10 all days between kl.07.00 -22.00. Please note: Usually frequent controls for fishing permits! Wintertime: 25/12 -15/3 ice fishing only on weekends and holidays. Tight liens, wet nets…. See you on the water!

Beginner & family fishing in pleasant surroundings with trout, rainbow trout, pike and white fish.You can find the fishing pond at Föreda, Föreda Kvarndamm, managed by SLRG fishing guiding and service, by taking the road from Vetlanda towards Ekenässjön. The pond is clearly visible and is located by a car park with an information board. There is also a public toilet and rest area. A footbridge to the pond's island is also suitable for people with disabilities. Accommodation options are also very close by!The lakeshore around the pond has no boardwalk despite some marshy places. There is also a barbecue area on the island, sometimes with firewood. A wind shelter is on the rocks by the dam attachment at the pond's southern end. Accommodation within comfortable distance. Guiding and courses if desired. More information points on the map. In the area there is one or more "put-and-take" fishing waters with stocked salmonid fish. In the area there is one or more catch-and-release waters, i.e. the fish are carefully released after capture. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. For younger children who should not fish alone, the company of an adult is required.
