The lake is approximately 22 metres deep and serves as a drinking-water source for the village of Skirö. Around ten different fish species occur in the lake, including large perch and pike up to 10 kg. In winter, the lake is popular among ice anglers. Arctic char was stocked in 2011-2012, but any catch must be released. At Karintorp on the lake's northern shore there is a municipal bathing area with jetties and a barbecue area. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17 years.
