Tranås SFF Medlemskap Rules for membership appear on the association's website, these must be read and accepted. Tranås SFF Fiskekort Lake Sommen - Applicable regulations for fishing license holders from about 2023-01-01. Fishing may not be conducted closer than 50 meters from a jetty or built-up plot unless special permission has been obtained from the owner. Fishing must not take place in such close proximity to exposed nets or gear that these are damaged. Fishing license entitles you to fish in Lake Sommen according to current regulations with only hand gear fishing such as angling, pike, casting rod, fly rod and drag. Max two tools (lines or lures) per card alt. when trolling after a boat, max. 4 fishing lures per boat for 2 or more people with a fishing license via a connected fishing club. The fishing rod is allowed. Fishing must not take place in such close proximity to exposed nets or gear that these are damaged. Trolling fishing license also grants the right to trolling fishing with deep rig alt. rod rack A maximum of six fishing lures may be used simultaneously per boat. Surface otter fishing, lead otter fishing and surface trolling with planer boards are not permitted. Participant on a boat engaged in trolling fishing, one person must hold a valid trolling fishing license, others a valid fishing license. We recommend: Single hook when trolling to minimize damage to re-exposed fish. Fishing license holders must respect and inform themselves about conservation times and conservation areas for char and trout as well as bird protection within the Sommen water area. The fishing license or control number must always be carried on the fishing trip and can be shown on request to the police, fishing inspector or water rights owner. When checking fishing licences, the gear must be taken up in order to facilitate the check. Fishing license is personal but also applies to family members up to and including the age of 17. If the latter is not in the parent's presence, identification and the parent's fishing license must be presented upon request. Young people up to the age of 15 fish without a fishing license, but with the same regulations that apply to the lake. Catching char and lake ring is prohibited from 16 September to 31 December in the entire lake. Anyone who catches any fish of these species during the conservation period must release the fish. See recommendation below. Targeted fishing against these species is prohibited during this period. During this time, all fishing is prohibited within the four conservation areas 1 - 4. The following minimum dimensions for catching apply, Pike: 40 cm, Insjöring: 65 cm, Goat: 50 cm, Trout: 65 cm, ÅI: 60 cm. Caught char and lake trout that are not to be kept or that are below the applicable minimum size should be soaked for a few minutes in a tub or similar before returning . Prohibited method of fishing - Directed vertical fishing with the help of sonar is only allowed in Sommen's western stream (Sommenfjärden, Boxholmfjärden, Tranåssjön and Torpafjärden) with the restriction Torpöbron in the south and the ferry port in the north. When fishing, hooking gear that is adapted to snatch the fish must not be used. The regulations do not constitute an obstacle to using grappling hooks to salvage fish caught with other gear. Catch limit - Max one salmon type fish per fishing license per day and maximum 2 walleyes per fishing license per day. Other species no restriction. Inspection fee - The Sommens Fisheries Management Area will charge an inspection fee of SEK 2,500 for violations of the above regulations. By redeeming a membership card / fishing license in one of the affiliated fishing clubs around Lake Somme, you are actively contributing to the care of the lake and its fish stocks. With your behavior in nature and on the lake's clean water, you decide for yourself how pleasant the environment should be. Keep nature clean. Be careful with FIRE. Vertical fishing is prohibited in the waters east of Torpön. Introduction of a recommendation that returned fish must be monitored until they leave the surface water and thus reduce predation from birds. Introduction of a recommendation on re-reporting of catches for all fishermen in the Somme (water right owners, lessees, fishing license holders, fishing clubs as well as commercial fishing). The fishing license is personal. Young people up to and including the age of 15 fish without a fishing license, but with the same regulations that apply in the lake. Over 15 years a fishing license is required. Four (4) ice fishing rods are allowed to be included in regular fishing licenses in the waters west of Torpön. New from 2025-01-01, fishing in Svartåns FVO Tranås included. For those who are members of the Tranås Sportfishing Association and have purchased a valid fishing license in Lake Sommen via the Tranås Sportfishing Association, fishing licenses are included in Svartåns FVO Tranås.
