Värnamo Sportfiskeklubb - Kalvsjön The lake only offers fly fishing. The lake is open for fishing from May 1st to October 31st. The fishing license (day license) is valid for one day from 06:00 to 24:00. It is also possible to buy a so-called Weekend Card for 500 SEK, which is valid from Friday 2:00 PM to Sunday 2:00 PM. However, fishing is still allowed between 6:00 AM and midnight. Fishing licenses must be presented for inspection to the club's fishing supervisor or a member of the club. The card is personal and valid only for the holder. Maximum three (3) fish per card. Once three fish have been caught, it is used up and a new fishing license must be purchased. Children under 16 years of age may fish without a fishing license if a guardian has a valid fishing license and the quota is not met. Maximum three (3) fish per license. Card fishermen are allowed to use float rings in the lake and at a cost of 400 SEK per day, including the fishing license. Please note that this only applies to float rings. Inflatable boats and kayaks are prohibited. There is also the possibility of camping at Lake Kalvsjön. Read more about this: Camping at Lake Kalvsjön Type of fishing Fishing is only permitted with a fly rod, from the pier or along the shore (wading is permitted). Only one rod per person may be used at a time. It is prohibited to fish with baited hooks such as worms, maggots, dough, cheese, pasta or bait, dead or live bait fish. More information about bait can be found on the signs around the lake. Please note that the withdrawal window for trout is 35 centimeters to 45 centimeters if the trout is to be kept. All trout smaller than 35 centimeters and larger than 45 centimeters should be carefully returned to the lake. Anyone who violates statutory fishing regulations may be sentenced to a fine or imprisonment for a maximum of one year. In the event of a violation of these fishing regulations, fishing gear may be seized and forfeited, which may also apply to other equipment such as boats. Violations of provisions in the fisheries legislation and associated regulations are subject to general prosecution and the penal provisions are set out in sections 37–50 of the Fisheries Act.
