- Setting out a hook with bait, known as a "standing hook", is completely prohibited.
- Fishing from a boat in Hotlamm (Lake Lilla Gransjön) is prohibited.
- Closed season for trout: September 1st through November 30th.
- The minimum permitted size for trout & char is 25 cm, smaller fish must be released regardless of condition.

Nyckelvattnets FVOF Fishing licenses MUST be obtained before fishing begins and presented upon request. 3 game fish / day applies all year round regardless of fishing license type on Hotlamm (Lilla Gransjön), Backsjön and Ryggsjön. NOTE for Hotlamm : From the winter premiere until 28/2-2026, only a separate day pass is valid at Hotlamm (Lilla Gransjön). After 28 February, day passes, weekly passes, and annual passes are also valid, but still only 3 game fish / day. And a maximum of 2 rods. Or you will have to pay an inspection fee of 2000 SEK for those who violate FVOF Rules. All fishing licenses are personal and cannot be transferred.
