Open official websiteVilångens FVO is situated in Kristinehamn and Storfors municipalities in eastern Värmland and has the lakes; Stora Vilången, Lilla Vilången, Bergtjärnen, Vassgårdasjön, Mjögsjön and Ämten.The lakes are nestled in the forests of lower Bergslagen. Around the lakes, summer cottages are widely spaced, so you will surely find your ”own little fishing spots”.There is plenty of perch, pike and roach, perhaps the occasional rudd or burbot if you are lucky. At Stora Vilången there is a nature reserve with 300-year-old pines on the islands. On the mainland you will find a shelter with a fireplace.Welcome! Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17. Handheld tackle only Vilångens FVO was formed in 1991. The association manages fishing within the area and safeguards the interests of fishing-rights owners. To make the lakes accessible to the public, permits applying to all lakes within the area are provided. The lakes have been limed regularly since the fishing conservation area was formed in the early 90s, and the association continuously monitors pH values etc. Thanks to the liming, our lakes are doing well and have good pH values.
