The area is situated in the Ätran downstream of Åsunden, with both slow-flowing water and running sections. The running sections are exclusively for fly fishing. Most of our lake fish species are present. The area is part of a larger fly-fishing area extending between Forsa at Åsunden and Ljungafors in Svenljunga, where much work has been carried out on fisheries conservation concerning trout. Trout fishing requires a separate fishing permit, which is not sold on iFiske. A special permit is required for fishing in the rapids. See Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. At present, all activity is focused on co-operation with two other areas to improve trout fishing.
