Gingri-Ön fisheries conservation area is located approx. 1,5 Swedish miles north of Borås, from the outlet of Marsjön to the road bridge in Gingri. Viskan winds its way through an area of national interest. Viskan flows through both calm and flowing water. It is incredibly beautiful along the river, where you can move quietly along in an attempt to outwit the large pike or the wary trout. Ingelabäcken and Fölabäcken are also included in the fisheries conservation area (See map). Littering along the river is totally prohibited. Due to littering along the river and vandalism of barbecue areas, certain areas are closed until further notice. See signs along the river. Remember that the permit holder has an obligation to inform themselves about the applicable provisions and rules. Breaches of these result in the right to fish being immediately forfeited. Always keep your permit or proof available for presentation to the fisheries bailiffs. Provisions and rules are available on information boards along the river. The fisheries conservation area is also included in the City of Borås municipal fishing permit. We hope you have a fine nature experience and that the fish are biting!!
