Beautiful Säveån flows through smiling natural areas and delightful stretches of current, and enters Göta älv at the port of Göteborg. The river offers fishing for both salmon and trout. Säveån has also, for this reason, been classified as being of national interest under the Natural Resources Act, which is why Natura 2000 areas and nature reserves have been established. During the seasons in which Sportfiskarna has made fishing available, many salmon over 10 kg have been caught. The largest to date was caught in 2005 and weighed 17,64 kg. During broodstock fishing, a male salmon of 21 kg and several salmon around 15 kg have been caught. Depending on water flow, temperature etc., Säveån salmon normally arrive at Jonseredsvattnet at the end of May and then continuously throughout the season. The largest salmon generally arrive early in the season. All information on fishing rules, maps and more can be found here The area contains one or more accessible fishing waters.
