Kärnsjöns FVOF For fishing, hand gear may be used. Spinning, reeling, fly, pimpel and fishing rods are counted as hand tools. Minimum size for zander is 40 cm. Eel is not allowed to fish. Fishing with fixed gear such as nets, nets, nets, etc. is only permitted for the owners of fishing rights. However, no closer than 200m from the inlet and outlet of Kärnsjön is allowed. To protect the fish in our lake system, we have decided to limit to: Max two rods per person or max three rods per boat.

Kärnsjön is one of the largest and deepest lakes in Bohuslän. Its area is 716 ha and its depth is 40 m. Kärnsjön's considerable length of 1 Swedish mile, combined with its narrow width and steep shores, gives it a fjord-like appearance. The area is part of the Örekilsälven Natura 2000 area, with rich birdlife including Peregrine Falcon and Osprey, among others. Örekilsälven, which has a good stock of salmon and trout, flows through Kärnsjön and empties at Saltkällan in Gullmarsfjorden. The lake has good swimming and fishing opportunities, as well as the possibility of walking around the lake. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. The association's purpose is to coordinate the conduct of fishing and fisheries conservation, promote the common interests of fishing-rights holders with regard to provisions applying to the conduct of fishing, and make fishing rights available to the public. The board is based in Munkedal and consists of fishing-rights holders in Kärnsjön.
