FISHING RULES OPMANNASJÖN 2023 10 day card Applies to fishing with: Hand gear max. 2 rods per boat when trolling, 1 fishing license per fisherman, rules as below B and C cards Applies to fishing with: Hand gear max. 2 rods per boat when trolling. Net fishing Max 120 m net length and 6 ft deep (1.80 m) 4 net lengths of each max 30 m Minimum mesh size as follows: 1 January-31 March 4 nets with 60 mm mesh. 1 April – 31 May Net fishing ban. 1 June -30 September 1 net 60 mm mesh, 2 nets 55 mm mesh, 1 net 45 mm mesh 1 October-31 December 4 nets with 60 mm mesh. Nets must be whitewashed within 48 hours. When fishing with the above gear except hand gear, the fishing license holder must be present both when setting and whittling. MARKING AND MARKING All tools must be equipped with clearly visible markings at both ends. They must be marked with name, telephone number. CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE Children under 15 fish for free with hand gear. PROHIBITED AREAS: In the channel into Arkelstorpsviken (red marking) only fishing with hand gear is allowed. Outside Karsholm Castle (red marking) only hand gear fishing is permitted. Anchoring is prohibited in the area, see signs. Outside Bokenäset (red marking) only hand gear fishing is permitted. Equipment may not be placed in areas in front of someone else's pier, swimming area, boat ramp, beach lot or building where it can be considered to be encroaching on someone else's private area. PROTECTED SPECIES Fishing for moths and eels is prohibited. These must be immediately released back into the water. PROHIBITION TIMES Fishing with nets is prohibited during the pike spawning season, April 1 - May 31. Norr Karsholm Castle 1 January – 31 July, Beef fishing ban (see the marking line on the map). North of Karsholm castle, 1 April-31 May, total fishing ban, to promote pike spawning opportunities. (See marker line on map.) MINIMUM SIZE Goes 45 cm. CONTROL AND FISHERIES SUPERVISION A valid fishing license must be carried when fishing and shown to a supervisor or fishing right owner on request. The fishing license may not be transferred.
