SFK Ycklaren was originally a competition club with great successes in competitive fishing over the years, both regionally and nationally, with several Swedish Champions. The club's waters have been leased since the mid-1970s from Fjärdens FVOF. The waters consist of Testeboån from Sundsbron in central Ockelbo down to the first islands in Fjärden, including Lake Ycklaren, where you will find a good pike stock, plenty of perch and white fish. An existing launching site is located at the northern part of Testeboån on the eastern side (Östby FVOF); during 2024 a new launching site will be established on the western side of Testeboån. Sarvtjärnen is kept open both winter and summer for P&T fishing for rainbow trout during specified periods. At Sarvtjärnen there is a toilet, shelter, barbecue area and jetties; for individual nights there are a few pitches for caravans/motorhomes, subject to space. In the area there is one or more "put-and-take" waters with stocked salmonid fish. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15 years. Only in the company of a guardian/adult/person who has a valid permit (within that person's quota) DOES NOT APPLY TO THE PUT-AND-TAKE water in Sarvtjärn.
