Svarten, Boksjön, Stora Mellsjön m.fl

The fisheries management area consists of nine lakes and is located about 7 kilometres west of Ullared by road 153. The fisheries management area has lakes in both Varbergs and Falkenbergs kommuner.Svarten, which is the largest, has a highly varied bottom, deep pools of over 30 metres, one larger island and several smaller shallow bays and many shoals. An echo-sounder map is loaned free of charge. The other lakes are Boksjön, Stora Mellsjön, Kalvsjön, Lilla and Stora Torvsjön, Haksjön, Kroksjön and Kalven. The lakes are mainly surrounded by forest. Fish abundance is good and Svarten is known for very large perch and fine pike. Other fish species are roach, eel and sparse trout.Boats are hired out (100kr/day), and life jackets can be borrowed free of charge.Contact Göran for further information.
