Norra Vixen

Norra Vixen is situated in the Emån main catchment, 5km west of the town of Eksjö. The lake’s elevation is 215 metres above sea level and its area is 171ha. Norra Vixen is classified as having very high natural value according to System Aqua, with high species diversity and high naturalness (the County Administrative Board of Jönköping County). Norra Vixen has a varied fish community dominated by perch and roach. The lake also has strong stocks of signal crayfish, pike and bream. Norra Vixen is known for its large pike and good perch fishing. Pike weighing 16 kg and perch weighing 2 kg have been caught in the lake. The most common fishing methods in the lake are spinning, ice fishing and float fishing. There is one or more accessibility-adapted water in the area. There is one or more catch-and-release water in the area, i.e. the fish are carefully released after capture. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 13. The association works for sustainable fishing for our and future generations.
