Saljenbygdens fishing conservation area covers a number of lakes, rivers and pools.The largest lake is called Saljen and is situated approx. 20 km south-east of Vetlanda. The lake is approx. 750 Ha in size, with a maximum depth of approx. 22 metres. In Saljen there are good chances of catching large fish. Pike and perch are present in abundant populations. Zander is also present.In Skirösjön it is mainly perch fishing that attracts. The lake has a rich population of large perch weighing a kilo and upwards! Pike and a smaller population of zander are also present in the lake. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17. An active fisheries management association with around 80 fishing-right holders in Saljen, Skirösjön and Skärvetesjön.
