Vaggerydsortens FVOF, a landowners' association, offers fishing in the somewhat larger lakes Fängen and Sandsjön, located north of Vaggeryd in the upper parts of the River Lagan's main channel. Sport anglers are attracted to the area primarily thanks to fishing for fine perch, pike and zander. In addition to Fängen and Sandsjön, it is also possible to fish in a number of smaller lakes and pools. The lakes lie embedded in wilderness-like coniferous forest surroundings. Black-throated divers and ospreys thrive in the area. Fängen and Sandsjön are deep, clear and nutrient-poor lakes with good water quality. The lakes are of interest for jigging for perch and spinning fishing for perch, pike and zander. The shallower Tängsjön is located in the southern part of the fisheries management area and is cut off from Sandsjön by a narrower sound. The lake is only 5-6 metres at its deepest and the water is considerably more humus-coloured, which means visibility depth is poor. In addition to the above lakes, Vaggerydsortens fisheries management area includes the lakes Prästagölen, Målagölen, Nöthultsgölen and Käringasjön. The bridge over Lagan at Sonarps kvarn constitutes the northern upper boundary of the fisheries management area and the dam facility at Mölna constitutes the southern lower boundary in Lagan. Permits are most easily bought via iFiske.se or at Preem in Vaggeryd Within the area there is one or more waters for catch-and-release, i.e. fish are carefully released after capture.
