Stora Holmsjön is a headwater lake without a proper inflow apart from drainage from the surrounding forest land. The lake’s maximum depth is approximately 15 metres. As the water is nutrient-poor, there are no reeds along the shores. The lake consists mostly of firm bottom. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Only in the company of a guardian/adult/person who has a valid permit (on that person’s quota). Free fishing for children as above in the company of an adult who has obtained a permit. The association was founded in 1987. The purpose of the association is to coordinate fishing and fisheries management, promote the common interests of fishing-rights holders with regard to the regulations applying to fishing, and grant fishing rights to the public.
