Solarens FVO All fishing licenses include fishing with 2 hand tools equipped with 1 lure/wobbler/jig/fly or when fishing with a hook. Max 4 fish of the species pike-perch/fishing license per day. Family cards are valid for spouses/cohabitants and their own children up to the age of 18. Max 2 rods/person/card. The card is also valid for 10 rods when fishing on ice. Crayfish fishing, net fishing or other fishing with fixed gear is not permitted. Fishing ban for pike-perch from 15/4 to 1/6. Minimum size for pike-perch is 45 cm. The card is personal and may not be transferred. The fisherman is responsible for ascertaining the regulations that apply in the area. Free fishing for young people up to 15 years of age.

Solaren is a lake beautifully situated in the northern part of Vimmerby municipality in Kalmar County. Solaren is part of Bottorpsströmen’s main catchment area, which flows into the Baltic Sea. It is a lake with mostly sandy bottoms and good water quality. It is located at approximately 125 m above sea level, covers approximately 3 km2 and has a depth of approximately 15-20 metres. It lies peacefully and quietly, surrounded mainly by coniferous forest. The lake has good supplies of perch and pike, as well as an increasing population of zander. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 14. Solarens fisheries management association was founded in 1991 and has an active board working to maintain the good water quality and develop accessibility for active recreational fishing.
