Stora Hensjön is a beautifully situated spring-fed lake in Tingsryd Municipality in southern Småland. The area is 300 hectares, with an average depth of 3.9 metres and a maximum depth of 10 metres. The lake is relatively nutrient-poor with species-rich fauna. The lake is part of the Ronnebyån water system and ... Stora Hensjön is a beautifully situated spring-fed lake in Tingsryd Municipality in southern Småland. The area is 300 hectares, with an average depth of 3.9 metres and a maximum depth of 10 metres. The lake is relatively nutrient-poor with species-rich fauna. The lake is part of the Ronnebyån water system and serves as a water supply for more than 5000 households and industries in Tingsryd Municipality. Access to the lake is good, with a small-boat ramp at Blötans bathing place in the eastern part of the lake. Stora Hensjöns FVOF aims to maintain healthy water with abundant fish stocks and good accessibility, in order to meet the need for fishing and recreation.
