The lake is flowed through by Hedenlundaån from the north and flows into Lake Långhalsen in the south-east at Ekenäs mill. Depth mostly 4- 5 m, with some sections down to approximately 10 m. Fairly clear at low flows. For sport fishing, pike, zander and perch are the most relevant species. The shore on the southern side is mostly forested; otherwise agricultural landscape.
