Would you like to become a member of Österåkers sportfiske klubb? Österåkers Sportfiskeklubb began its activities on 25 June 1943, then under the name Österskärs fiskeklubb. We are one of the country's larger fishing clubs/associations with almost 600 members. The sport fishing club manages and supervises the municipality's waters, as well as other leased water areas.ÖSFK is affiliated with "Sportfiskarnas Region mitt Stockholm" and "Sveriges Fiskevattenägareförbund". These organisations safeguard our members' interests and wishes in fishing matters in dealings with the authorities. ÖSFK is a member of Miljö- och Klimatrådet (MKR) and Idrotts- och Friluftsalliansen (IFA) in Österåkers municipality and protects fish habitat and sustainable rewarding recreational fishing in the municipality.As a member of the fishing club, in addition to fishing with handheld tackle (fishing rods included in free handheld-tackle fishing), you can fish with longlines, nets and set lines for household use, and row lures or troll fish with a maximum of four rods using an electric motor, within the club's water areas in the archipelago. Membership entitles you to purchase a permit for Drängsjön at a reduced price and also to book members' boats at no extra cost. The sport fishing club manages and supervises Österåkers municipality's waters, as well as other leased water areas. The waters include, among others, archipelago waters and Drängsjön, Trastsjön, Södersjön and the lower section of Åkers canal. Put&take fishing for salmonids is carried out in Drängsjön. The club conducts fisheries conservation and fisheries supervision activities in the managed waters. We have also been approved by Länstyrelsen in Stockholm County since 1996 to conduct fisheries supervision courses.
