Sigtuna FVF Lake Mälaren: For all fishing, with the exception of "free hand gear fishing", a valid fishing license must always be carried and presented upon request. In Garnsviken and 100 meters out into Sigtunafjärden, all fishing is prohibited between 1/4-15/6. The card does not entitle you to fishing with nets (with the exception of gillnets) or crayfish fishing. As a member of the Sigtuna Fiskevårdsförening you get on leased water in Lake Mälaren ( marked in blue on the map ): Fishing with up to two (2) fishing rods is permitted Trolling with a maximum of four (4) simultaneous fishing rods per boat During the winter you can fish with up to 10 angelfish/ice bait rods. Max 3 pike/zander per day! The fish must measure at least 45cm, or measure a maximum of 75cm! Fish that are below or exceed these limits must be released as carefully as possible! This is to preserve the stocks and hopefully strengthen them! Fysingen, Oxundasjön, Marängsån: Fishing with up to two (2) fishing rods is permitted Trolling with a maximum of two (2) fishing rods in the water is permitted. Click here for more information Sigtuna FVF Båtpass We offer our members the opportunity to borrow a boat to fish in Lake Mälaren, Oxundasjön and Fysingen. If you are 18 years or older and have an Annual Card with us, you can buy a Boat Pass card and get the opportunity to book rental boats. You who book a rental boat are responsible for the use of the boat. If you are a guardian and allow a minor to use the boat, this is done under the member's responsibility. For fishing in Lake Mälaren, a boat is available in Garnsviken from 16/06 (June 16). For fishing in Oxundasjön, there is a boat available about a four-minute walk from the nearest car park. For fishing in Fysingen, there is a boat available, stuck in a tree on the shore to the right. The boats are equipped with oars and the option to mount your own motor (max 5 hp). Boats in Garnsviken and Oxundasjön are approved for up to five (5) people, but we recommend a maximum of three (3) people in each boat, mainly to minimize the risk of injury when fishing with a casting rod, for example. Boat in Fysingen is suitable for a maximum of (2) people. Limited access to life jackets is available to borrow. Please let us know if you need one via the Facebook group. You will receive all instructions regarding bookings via email after purchasing a Boat Pass card. Sigtuna FVF - Lånebåtar To be able to book the boat in the calendar, you need to have both an annual pass and a boat pass . The boat pass gives you access to borrow the boat via our calendar on iFiske. Important to know: Every booking is free of charge – you can borrow the boat for free throughout the calendar year, as long as the lake is ice-free. Only book when you really plan to use the boat. Cancel well in advance if fishing cannot take place, for example due to illness or other obstacles. In case of repeated misuse, the boat card may be confiscated. Click here for more information Sigtuna FVF Kräftfiske A membership in Sigtuna FVF (Annual Card) is required to be able to purchase the crayfish fishing card. Throughout August 2026, Sigtuna FVF offers its members the opportunity to purchase day passes for crayfish fishing on the association's waters in parts of Lake Mälaren. A crayfish fishing license is valid for one fishing opportunity ( one day ). Only cages from Sigtuna FVF may be used. Max 10 cages per fishing license A maximum of 60 approved crayfish may be caught per fishing license. The minimum size of the crayfish is 10 cm between head and tail. Cages are collected at the agreed time and place with the person in charge and returned the following day no later than 10:00 AM. Please note that the association does not provide bait fish. According to the Fisheries Act, the bait fish must come from the same lake that you fish for crayfish in, to avoid the spread of infection between waters. A crayfish fishing license is valid for one fishing opportunity (one day). If you want to fish for several days, a separate card is required for each occasion, according to available dates.
