Erken is Uppland's third-largest lake by volume, 23 km2 in size and with a maximum depth of approximately 22m, and is largely surrounded by wilderness-like forest with a substantial element of boulder terrain. In the permit fishing areas there are quantities of interesting rocky shoals and slopes to fish at, but fishing by the elongated reed beds can also produce fantastic pike fishing!In Erken, fishing is primarily aimed at perch, pike and zander, but fishing for the most common carp fish, which are typical of lakes in agricultural landscapes, can also be successful. Opportunities for shore fishing are limited but are possible at a few places on the northern shore, from Rörvik to Hasselhorn, and from the shores inside Svanbergaviken. At “Rumpudden”, between Rörvik and Hasselhorn, there are 2 wind shelters with barbecue areas.A public, barrier-free launching ramp is available at Vikingabyn ( ), Svanberga! Do NOT park at the turning area at the entrance to Vikingabyn; parking must only take place on the entrance meadow! A barrier-free ramp means that it is open, but both Svanberga båtförening and Norrtälje SF would like a fee of 100 kr, alternatively a season permit of 500 kr, to be paid as a contribution to keeping the ramp open and maintaining it (nothing that will be checked, but something a responsible user does)! Follow the instructions on site!LommarenA nutrient-rich and elongated lake with dense, elongated reed beds. Shoals and stony bottoms are completely absent, but there are areas on the southern shore consisting of stone and rock. The deepest part of the lake, approximately 7m, is in the area where the lake is narrowest.In Lommaren, and at Lommarbadet at the lake's eastern end, it is possible to launch a boat adjacent to the bathing area's car park. Opportunities for shore fishing are virtually non-existent but can be carried out from a few public piers in the eastern part of the lake. At the bathing area's piers, people with disabilities have opportunities to fish.In Lommaren, fishing is primarily aimed at perch, pike and zander throughout the year. Many of the lake's large perch migrate up to Lommaren from the sea after spawning via Norrtäljeån, then remain thanks to the good food supply and can offer genuine feeding frenzies in winter as well as summer! The most common carp fish, typical of lakes in agricultural landscapes, are also present in large numbers.LimmarenA nutrient-rich and relatively shallow lake and, in the applicable area, the shores consist of dense reed beds. In the area there are a couple of shoals and also occurrences of stony bottoms. In the area there is a maximum depth of approximately 5m.Unfortunately, there are no public launching places and shore fishing is virtually non-existent. Information can be obtained from NorrtäljeSportfiskare.In Limmaren, fishing is primarily aimed at perch, pike and zander and, especially in winter, you can succeed if conditions permit either with jigging through the ice or ice fishing. The most common carp fish, typical of lakes in agricultural landscapes, are also present in large numbers.Frötuna-Kyrksjö“Frötunasjön” differs considerably in character from the other waters in the permit fishing area. The lake is partly surrounded by steep mountains and slopes and partly by flatter shores adjacent to agricultural land. The lake's depth conditions follow accordingly, and in some places the bottom slopes very steeply. The shores consist partly of stone and rock slabs, but also of both sparse and dense reed beds. There is one shoal in the area and a maximum depth of approximately 15m in the middle of the lake. On the lake's northern shore it is possible to launch a small boat. The place is reached from old Norrtäljevägen.Shore fishing can take place from projecting headlands/rock slabs in the southern part of the lake, towards Lönnsvik, from both the western and eastern shores. NOTE!!! Observe and respect the boundaries separating the permit fishing water from Lönnsvik's water and fishing rights owners, and that it is strictly prohibited to enter private land and piers!! There are markings on both the eastern and western sides towards Lönnsvik, consisting of white/red-painted signs (white=permit fishing water, red=private water)”. In Frötunasjön, fishing is primarily aimed at perch, pike and zander throughout the year, and jigging through the ice can give good results in particular. The most common carp fish also occur.MalstasjönA nutrient-rich and relatively shallow lake, partly surrounded by steep mountains and slopes and partly by flatter shores adjacent to agricultural land. The shallow bays in the west and east are largely covered by water lilies from early summer. There are no public launching places, but at the bathing place, which can be reached from Malsta Kyrka's car park, you can easily reach the lake with a Canadian canoe or other lighter craft. Speak to the municipality and show consideration for the bathing guests. Shore fishing is virtually non-existent but can be carried out at the projecting headlands in the southern part of the lake, Degaröviken.In Malstasjön, fishing is primarily aimed at perch and pike all year round, and the most common carp fish, typical of lakes in agricultural landscapes, are also present in large numbers.Rimbo LångsjöA nutrient-rich and elongated lake with highly varied shores consisting of dense or sparse and elongated reed beds, stone and rock slabs. Several shoals and stony areas occur.In Rimbo Långsjö, and at the municipal bathing place at the lake's eastern end, it is possible to launch a boat. Speak to the municipality and show consideration for the bathing guests. Opportunities for shore fishing are virtually non-existent from the northern shore but are partly possible on the southern shore.In Rimbo Långsjö, fishing is primarily aimed at perch, pike and zander throughout the year, and the most common carp fish, typical of lakes in agricultural landscapes, are also present in large numbers.NorrtäljeånFrom Lake Lommaren in the west, Norrtäljeån flows through Norrtälje town centre until it finally enters Norrtälje harbour. From the upper section down to “Gamla Elverksbron”, the riverbanks are relatively accessible and consist mainly of a belt of alder, ash and maple. Parts of the northern bank of the upper section are affected by private plots and private plots affect the southern bank of the upper section to a lesser extent. It is of course prohibited to enter all residential plots!! The river course in the upper section is virtually slow-flowing.The middle section of the river from just upstream of “Gamla Elverksbron” down to the white bridge, also called Socitetsbron, the “Fly Fishing Section”, drops approximately 3m, naturally creating sections from weakly to strongly flowing at average water flow. Following extended periods of rain, the flow can become very high, making some parts of the middle section unsuitable for wading. The banks along the middle section consist mainly of hard surfaces, making access minimal and requiring wading. Wading takes place from one side only!! Follow the instructions!!The lower section of the river extends from the bridge at Åtellet to the dolphins at the entrance to Norrtälje harbour, which are level with the sea pier. The banks along the lower section consist mainly of hard surfaces. Accessibility is very good! Within the area there is one or more accessibility-adapted fishing waters.
