Älgsjöns FVOF Applies to angling, spinning rod, fly rod, ice rod and trolling. Maximum 3 rods/boat in the water at the same time when trolling. Fishing with small fish as bait is prohibited in the pond. There is a fishing ban in all lakes from September 1st until the ice is strong. All fishing is prohibited in running water. The card is valid for the holder and children under 16 years of age who belong to the holder's household. Family cards apply to members of the family household. Crayfish plague is spreading in Sweden and threatening our crayfish stocks. Crayfish plague is mainly spread via signal crayfish, plague-affected crayfish or infected water. Remember to prevent the spread of crayfish plague, boats and equipment must be disinfected if they are moved between different waters! See bulletin boards. For fishing rights holders, there is also the possibility to purchase a fishing right certificate, upon presentation of documents that show that you have fishing rights (i.e., have property with tax revenue in one of the homesteads that has water in Älgsjön). Special rules apply to fishing right certificates. The road barrier for the road west of Älgsjön is located at Björnerud. The code for the barrier is given in connection with the validity of the card. Boat, floatation equipment and gear: To prevent crayfish plague, use one of the following methods of disinfection: • Drying to complete dryness, e.g. – in a sauna at least 70° C for at least 5 hours (large objects) or at least 1 hour (small objects), – by prolonged sun drying or air drying. • Washing or immersion in Tröd (3 parts alcohol: 1 part water). Fishing gear must be kept submerged for at least 20 minutes. • Freezing -10° C for at least 24 hours. • Boil under a lid for at least 5 minutes, the object must be completely submerged in the water.
