Krontjärnen

Krontjärns SFK, also known as Krontjärn. ... Krontjärnen, also called Krontjärn, is a water situated in Årjäng Municipality, approximately 2 km west of Töcksfors. The pond has been a put-and-take water since the 1960s and is a large cold spring with clear water, steep sides in places but with fine places where you can fish. Rainbow trout will no longer be stocked because the permit has been withdrawn by the County Administrative Board. The pond contains trout and perch. The trout are currently protected and must be released. If you travel along European route 18 (E18) towards the Norwegian border, you reach the pond by turning off E18 at the Låssbyn sign and taking the first right. This is the old E18, which is a barrier road, and the barrier is closed, so you have to walk approximately 600 metres to reach the pond. Right beside the old E18, which passes immediately by the pond, there is a barbecue area that may be used provided there is no fire ban and common sense is used. There are one or more catch-and-release waters in the area, i.e. the fish are carefully released after being caught. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 14. Only when accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult/person who has a valid fishing permit (from that person's quota).
