Stora Börs FVOF A fishing license entitles the holder to fish with hand gear (fishing rod, casting rod, fly rod and pimpel rod) and to troll fishing with a maximum of 2 pulls after a boat, within the entire fisheries management area. Fishing licenses can be redeemed as daily, weekly or annual licenses. Fishing license is personal and cannot be transferred. ATTENTION! All fishing in running water is prohibited! Young people under the age of 16 may fish with hand gear, without paying a fee. A valid fishing license must be carried when fishing and can be shown to fishing supervisors and fishing rights owners on request.

The association manages: Stora Bör, Lilla Bör, Älgsjön, Öjesjön, Bodasjön, Hynningssjön, Tegstjärnet, Hasselbacketjärnet, Sulerudstjärnet, Ragnilrudstjärnet. Stora Bör's fisheries management area is located in south-western Värmland, whose lake system is part of the Lillälven water system. A water system that begins in the Glaskogen nature reserve and winds through the lakes in our fisheries management area before finally flowing into Byälven. A permit entitles fishing in the lakes Öjesjön, Älgsjön, Lilla Bör and Stora Bör, as well as the smaller tarns that drain into these lakes. On the boundary between Säffle and Årjäng municipalities is Stora Bör, which is the largest lake in the area. Fishing there is mainly for pike, perch and fine trout. Other species present include burbot, whitefish, vendace, brook trout, roach and eel. In Stora Bör you can get the large fish to bite; for example, a 17-kilo pike, 4-5-kilo trout and 2-kilo perch have been caught. Stora Bör also has other things to discover, as the lake has a clear wilderness character with many islands, islets and skerries. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Only with handheld tackle. Stora Börs fiskevårdsområdesförening was formed in 1992 and has primarily worked to improve the trout stocks present in the fisheries management area by restoring spawning and nursery areas. In addition to larger habitat management projects in Ragnilsrudsbäcken, Bärhusälven and Bodaälven, it also carries out other measures such as improving spawning beds with spawning gravel and making and placing fish shelters in the lakes.
