Kraddsele SFF Fishing rules General (general fishing rules) Within the entire area, fishing with live bait such as worms, maggots & shrimp, as well as imitations such as Powerbait, is prohibited. Triple hooks are prohibited. Double/single hooks only. Rotational fishing applies to the entire area. Fishing only permitted from land (fishing right holders/local residents excluded, see below). Wading permitted. Catch limit of two (2) fish per person per day. Maximum size of grayling 45 cm. Catch & Release on ALL trout. Ban on directed fishing for trout from September 15th. The fishing license is only valid together with an approved ID document. The fishing license must be presented to the supervisor upon request. Fishing right holders and local residents have the right to fish from a boat. NOTE: The Hemforsen rapids inside Kraddsele (the stretch from the bridge and upstream, approximately 300 meters, on both sides of the river) are closed every day from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM the next morning. From the 2026 season, a 220 m long stretch on the west side of the river will be closed, starting approximately 50 m upstream of the bridge. The fishing license is not valid on that stretch. Fly fishing distance – 1100 meters Fly fishing only. Catch & Release. Fishing rights holders/local residents fish with the same rules as at Kraddsele Allmänna and have the right to fish from a boat. The Pike stretch Consists of Kraddselet. Here it is allowed to fish for pike from a rental boat (see below) or your own float ring. Boat available for rent June 1st – September 15th. Quotaed Special Section – Järnforsen Maximum three (3) fishing licenses per day, or group. Fly fishing only. Catch & Release. Within the entire area, fishing with live bait such as worms, maggots & shrimp, as well as imitations such as powerbait, is prohibited. Triple hooks are prohibited. Double/single hooks only. Rotational fishing applies to the entire area. Fishing only permitted from land. Wading permitted. The fishing permit is valid from 09:00 – 03:00 the following day. The stretch is closed to fishing and fishermen between 03:00 – 09:00 each day. The special section is open until September 14th. Closed from September 15th. The fishing license is only valid together with an approved ID document. The fishing license must be presented to the supervisor upon request. Järnforsen (500 meters) Open Sunday-Friday. Saturdays are reserved for local residents. Since the Ammarnäs trout has a high conservation value, and is a resource that we cherish, ALL trout must be released. The trout is of a natural strain that comes up from its breeding area in Storvindeln, to the streams between Kraddsele and Ammarnäs to spawn. Handle these trout with respect and great care!
