Description from the source
Show the full source description

Binböletjärn Fishing Association was formed in 1965 by the property owners (a total of ten) in Binböle and Åsäng who had fishing rights in Binböletjärn.It was then decided to treat the lake with rotenone ... When travelling towards Nordingrå from the E4 from Gallsäter, the first village in Nordingrå is Binböle.Right next to the main road lies Binböletjärn, a small gem for recreational anglers in general and ice anglers in particular. In the tarn there are both trout (self-reproducing in the tarn) and char. New char is repeatedly stocked by Binböletjärns fiskevårdsområdesförening, most recently in autumn 2024. Due to poor availability of char, stocking could not be carried out in 2022, 2023 or 2025.The fact that Binböletjärn is so close to the road means that accessibility to the tarn is good; there is also excellent parking by the turn-off road towards Nora.Half the shoreline lies alongside the road and in winter it is only a few metres to walk before you can drill your hole and start fishing. There are no accessible jetties, but unless you have very severe disabilities it is still entirely possible to get there to fish.Ice fishing in the tarn has been excellent but is currently poorer due to poor availability of char. Fishing during spring and early summer can provide good trout fishing.Of course, it is also possible to fish during the rest of the summer and autumn, even though the fish are usually harder to get on the hook then.Suitable fishing methods are (apart from ice fishing in winter) angling, spin fishing and to some extent fly fishing.BinböletjärnThe association repeatedly stocks char in the tarn and tries to maintain and develop the lake as a popular recreational fishing water. Due to poor availability of char, stocking could not be carried out this autumn 2025; the latest stocking was in autumn 2024.There is also trout, which is self-reproducing in the lake.Other contact informationPermits can be purchased here at ifiske.se or in the permit box (cash payment only) up in the village of Binböle. You can also call our contact person for help purchasing a permit. Binböletjärn Fishing Association was formed in 1965 by the property owners (a total of ten) in Binböle and Åsäng who had fishing rights in Binböletjärn.It was then decided to treat the lake with rotenone to remove pike, perch and roach etc. and then stock salmonids. The only original fish species that survived the rotenone treatment was burbot, which can still be caught when fishing in the lake today, although rather rarely.
