Hemling FVO offers a range of different fishing experiences, adapted to the different seasons, and there is something here for all fishing enthusiasts.Winter fishingDuring winter, ice fishing for char in the scenic Lill-Siktensjön is particularly recommended. It is located along road 352 between Hemling and Nyliden. This small "mountain lake" has excellent water clarity, making it possible to fish with a viewing scope in the lake. The lake has a maximum depth of approximately 28 metres, and char are stocked annually to ensure a good supply of fish.To make the fishing trip more comfortable, there is a wind shelter as well as a small cabin with a stove and firewood by the lake. This provides a pleasant place to rest and keep warm during the fishing trip.Summer fishingSummer fishing offers good opportunities to fish for trout and grayling in the beautiful Hemlingsån. This stream winds through the northern Swedish nature and offers a peaceful and rewarding fishing experience.For fishing for perch and pike, Lillhemlingen and Storsiktensjön are excellent choices. These lakes offer fantastic fishing experiences, and for those seeking even more perch and pike, fishing in the beautiful Gideälven is recommended. Gideälven extends approximately 4 kilometres from Gammelby power station dam northwards to the footbridge over the river in Nyliden. There is a good supply of these fish species here, and the use of a boat is permitted.Fishing facilities and serviceAt Lillhemlingen, situated along the road between Hemling and Storborgaren, approximately 3 kilometres from Hemling, there is a wind shelter with a barbecue ring. This makes the area a perfect place for a fishing break, with the opportunity to barbecue and enjoy nature.For anyone needing provisions or fishing equipment, there is an ICA grocery shop and a petrol station with a kiosk in Hemling.
