Hinnsjöns FVO

Hinnsjöns Fisheries Management Area is located approx. 3 Swedish miles south-west of Örnsköldsvik. The area is large and offers exciting fishing both in a number of larger lakes and flowing watercourses for everything from rainbow trout and trout to large pike. The area includes several waters.In Stor-Degersjön, Hinnsjön, Grätnässjön, Mjösjön, Drömmesjön, Orrvikssjön and Staffartjärnen and the house tarns you fish for pike and perch. In Stor-rödtjärn, char, and in Grätnäsån, Hustjärnsbäcken, Hinnsjöån and Degersjöån there are also trout. In part of Nätraån there are both trout and rainbow trout.In the regulating dams at Nyfors and Hinnsjöån, trout and rainbow trout of 0.5-2 kg are stocked and there is put-and-take fishing here at ordinary permit prices. The area is known, among other things, for its large pike; the largest pike caught is an impressive 17 kg in Drömmesjön! Nätraån offers scenic fishing for rainbow trout, trout, perch and pike.A tip is to experience the river at a leisurely pace from a canoe; there is a good chance of seeing beaver here.Boats are available for hire in Orrvikssjön, Nätraån at Västanå village Hinnsjön-Åbosjön and Rödtjärn. In the area there is one or more "put-and-take" waters with stocked salmonid fish. In the area there is one or more waters for catch-and-release, i.e. fish are carefully released after capture. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 16 years. Children and young people fish free up to and including 16 years, on presentation of a free permit.
