Ljunga Södra FVOF General fishing rules – Ljunga Södra FVOF Fishing is permitted with hand-held equipment (rods). This applies to fishing from land, ice and in waters where boat fishing is permitted. Angling (ice fishing) is permitted in winter. In Lake Hällsjön, float fishing with a traditional fly fishing rod is permitted. Net fishing and crayfish fishing are prohibited for the general public. Exceptions only apply to fishing right holders according to special rules. The minimum size for game fish (trout, rainbow trout, etc.) is 25 cm. The maximum catch is 4 game fish per fishing trip. Fishing times: • Ljungan: June 1 – August 30 • Other flowing waters: May 15 – August 30 • At other times, fishing is prohibited, with the exception of angling in winter. A valid fishing license is required for all fishing. Fishing without a fishing license will be reported to the police. Fishing supervision is carried out in the area. Violations of the rules can result in a supervision fee of up to SEK 4,280. Minor violations, such as exceeding the catch quota, can result in a fee. Local variations occur. Some waters may have special rules, such as boat fishing bans or restrictions on fishing from shore. Always check specific rules for the water in question before fishing. Fishing rights holders are subject to special regulations and must obtain a fishing rights certificate and follow the association's rules.
