Ärtingens i Borås FVOF

Ärtingen is a spring-fed lake with relatively clear water. Its area is 2.63 square kilometres, greatest depth 23.7 m, average depth 11 m, Secchi depth 5.7, and it lies 151 metres above sea level. The lake is relatively popular both among pike anglers and those who want to float-fish or ice-fish for perch. The greatest depth is in the western part of the lake, while the eastern part is shallower. The lake has good stocks of pike, perch, roach, vendace and vendace fry. Eel, burbot and trout occur in smaller stocks. Boat launching is possible at Påtorps Gård after contacting and obtaining permission from the landowner. (tel 0708-623719 or 0739-841543). Note that the launching site may at times be inaccessible, and the approach road is uneven and passes through a horse pasture. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Only in the company of a parent/adult Borås Ärtingen fisheries conservation area association manages the fishing in Lake Ärtingen, situated in Borås Municipality, and the outlet Munkån down to Artavägen. Permits are sold via the internet, SMS, and at our sales outlets Q8 Fristad, Påtorps Säteri and Solviken (in summer). Group permits are sold only at our staffed sales outlets.
