Important information concerning Västra Ingsjön. Testing of perch and pike from Västra Ingsjön has shown elevated levels of PFAS. In consultation with Länsstyrelsen Västra Götaland and Livsmedelsverket, Härryda, Mark and Mölndal municipalities have drawn up local recommendations for consuming fish from the lake. The recommendation is that the general public should not eat fish from Västra Ingsjön more than 2–3 times per year. This applies to all groups in society. Note that the dietary recommendations apply only to Västra Ingsjön and not Kalven, Östra Ingsjön or Oxsjön, where elevated PFAS levels have not been measured in fish.
