And in peaceful natural surroundings with a wilderness character, there are no disturbing roads or communities here to disrupt the tranquillity. Kalv Family Campsite rents out boats and canoes and offers overnight accommodation on the campsite and in cabins, even in a houseboat. Kalv Schoolhouse Hostel offers newly renovated rooms. The village shop has a good selection. All three sell fishing permits. A boat launch is available at the outlet in Kalv. There are several campsites; see the Fegen area here on iFiske, where fires are permitted. You best protect the rich birdlife by respecting the bird protection area around the large islands in the middle of the lake and Aspön during the period 174 -15/7. In addition to fishing in Lake Kalv, the Southern and Northern Svansjö lakes are also included. These connect to Lake Fegen. The smaller lakes Fursjön and Röasjön are also included in the fishing permit.Further down the page there is an older depth map in PDF.A depth map of most of the lake is available at you can see the current water level in the lake, which varies somewhat: Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Kalv FVOF manages fishing in Lake Kalv and the Southern and Northern Svansjön lakes. We want everyone to get a bite and we want to support the development of the local area.Our vision is: Lake Kalv shall offer, and be known for, very good fishing that is sustainable in the long term, even with the expected climate changes.We have therefore set ambitious goals to improve our ecological status, strengthen our continued maintenance of "good status" on the EQR8 fishing index, and improve water clarity by encouraging landowners to take measures that reduce brownification.
