The area consists of around ten forest lakes and tarns in north-eastern Vättlefjäll, where perch is the dominant species. The area's largest lake is Stora Lövsjön at approximately 84 hectares. The lake has a good perch stock, with large perch for the area. The area also has a self-reproducing stock of trout. The permit is valid in Stora Lövsjön and Gärdsjön and in the following lakes and tarns:Hagasjön, Hålltjärn, Gettjärn, Lilla Gettjärn, Norra Kroksjön, Trytjärnarna and Tåsjön (see map).The area also has very rich wildlife, including many bird species and almost legendary insect hatches for the fly fisher to watch. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17. May fish without a permit, but must comply with the provisions otherwise applicable to the permit. Lövsjöarnas fish conservation area association (LFVO) manages the fishing rights within Lövsjöarnas fish conservation area. The association consists of all fishing-rights owners in the area and manages fishing in around ten lakes, tarns and watercourses. The association makes certain rights available to the public to fish in some of the area's lakes and tarns through permits. On behalf of Lövsjöarnas fish conservation area association, Gråbo Sportfiske och Fiskevårdsförening (Gråbo SFF) administers permit sales and fishing supervision in the area.
