All the lakes have dark water with much humus.The permit applies only to fishing with handheld tackle.A boat ramp is available at Ätran/Skåpanäsdammen. There is good fishing in the dam, including zander.A boat ramp is available in Storasjön, between Älvsered and Mårdaklev. Perch, pike and eel may be fished. Glass eels have been released on several occasions. Above Älvsered, fishing for eel is permitted. The other lakes are small but fairly fish-rich and have no boat ramp. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 11. Handheld tackle only Fishing conservation area with boat ramps at Ätran/Skåpanäsdammen and Storasjön.
