Säveåns Övre FVO FISHING RULES Fishing license area. Säveån with upper limit: The bridge at the power plant in Floda. Lower limit the highway bridge Upstream of the power plant in Hedefors. Spinning fishing is only permitted downstream of Hillefors power plant. The boundaries are shown on the map on the website and the fishing route. Fishing season 15/5 to 31/8 (applies to card buyers). When the water temperature is 20 degrees or more, fishing is closed. During the entire fishing season, restrictions apply to the number of fishing licenses. Fishing permits only day permits are sold/day from 2:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Children up to 13 years of age fish for free with an adult who has a valid fishing license. The fishing quota will not change. The cards are personal and cannot be transferred. Fishing within the area specified below is not permitted: From the north side of the river downstream of Tullängsbron to a point about 150m downstream of Hillefors bridge. From bridges or spans. From vacant land. From the Hillefors mill factory area and a stretch from Hillefors bridge to the outlet of the power plant dam 100 m downstream of the bridge. Cultivated land or fenced areas may not be entered. Fishing is only permitted with hand gear for spinning or fly fishing in accordance with what is stated on the map in the folder/website. On the fly section, only fly in the traditional way. When spinning, it is not permitted to use plastic balls or similar. Fishing from a boat and fishing with baited hooks is not permitted except in Hedefors power plant dam between the highway bridge and the so-called Barnhemsbron. However, only single hooks may be baited. Only one fly on the paw when engaging in fly fishing. ALL FISHING MUST BE DONE WITH BARBLESS SINGLE HOOKS (ALSO APPLIES TO SPINNING FISHING) The minimum size of trout is 45 cm and the maximum size is 49 cm. All trout under 45 cm and all trout over 49 cm must be released. A maximum of one trout per day may be retained between 45-49 cm. All other trout must be carefully released. The number of trout caught/landed and released (catch&release) is limited to 5 per day and angler. After that, fishing ends. All directed fishing for salmon is prohibited. It is not permitted to use a fly rod with any type of two-handed grip. If salmon is caught, it must be returned. The minimum size of trout is 45 cm and the maximum size is 49 cm.
