The lakes of the Gärdsjö area are located about 8 km north of Rättvik at Nedre Gärdsjö along road 301. Skäftringen is a put-and-take water and a source lake with crystal-clear water in a beautiful forest setting. Skäftringen has stocked rainbow trout; shore fishing and ice fishing only are permitted. The area has one or more "put-and-take" fishing waters with stocked salmonids. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 14.
